CallerTracer is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. ("FCRA"). CallerTracer does not assemble or evaluate information for the purpose of furnishing consumer reports, and the information available through the Service is not a consumer report.

You may not use CallerTracer for FCRA purposes

By using the Service you certify that you will not use any information obtained from CallerTracer, in whole or in part, as a factor in determining a person's eligibility for:

  • credit, loans or insurance;
  • employment, promotion, reassignment or retention;
  • housing, tenancy or a rental agreement;
  • government licences or benefits;
  • any other purpose that requires FCRA compliance.

Using the Service for any of these purposes violates our Terms of Service and may violate federal and state law. Accounts that do so will be terminated.

What CallerTracer is for

The Service is designed to help individuals and businesses identify unknown callers, verify contact numbers, recognize scam and robocall patterns and decide whether to answer or return a call. Results describe attributes of a phone number, such as carrier, line type, area code location, caller name where published, risk indicators and community reports.

Accuracy

Information comes from carriers, public numbering records, third-party data providers and user reports. It may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect, and phone numbers can be spoofed. Each result shows its source category and the date the field was last verified. Do not rely on a result as the sole basis for any decision that affects another person.
